Swiss Can AG is your specialist for machines and complete machine lines to fill and seam cans and jars with powder and dry products. Making machines with high quality requirements in a speed range up to hundred cans per minute is our core competence. We are worldwide leading in our range of capacity for machines for high hygienic powder products for the food and pharmaceutical industry. We attached a high importance to tailor-made solutions which are coordinated with customer requirements. Flexible, low-maintenance and well-thought-out machines are the results of our work.
As a Swiss company you can expect highest Swiss quality from us – regarding construction, materials and production, as well as adherence to schedules and service. Our machines’ whole development, engineering and assembly are made in our company in Berneck. Works such as mechanical manufacturing are contracted out to highly qualified partners, a majority of them are also Swiss companies.
Our modular machine variety raises the bar. You can realise semi-automatic filling and seaming stations as well as complete complex filling lines. Our game-changing control unit «Swiss Can Control 4.0» makes an extensive control and an easy remote maintenance possible.
It is our goal to develop our design regarding Industry 4.0. Highly qualified specialists work on constant improvements on our machines and machine lines in our own development department. We work closely together with high technology suppliers such as the company Siemens.
Swiss Can AG is a young and dynamic company. It belongs to the brothers Michael and Marc Grabher since the foundation. After their studies, the two skilled mechanical engineers have always worked in the packaging machine industry, that’s why they have an extensive know-how about manufacturing can filling and seaming machines. The vision to build machines to fill highly sensitive food accurately and highly hygienic into cans led to Swiss Can’s foundation and the beginning of its business activity on 1. June 2013. Michael Grabher (CEO) and Marc Grabher (CTO) lead the company today as equal partners.
In the beginning, the company was located in Au in the canton of St. Gallen. Because of the fast growth, the company location has been moved in August 2016 to the neighboring Berneck in a bigger company facility. By midyear 2018 another step of growth has been executed by increasing production and office facilities to overall around 2000 square meters. In the beginning of the year 2020 a new office, dedicated only for automation has been established. Currently there are around 25 employees working for Swiss Can, mainly high skilled mechanical and electrical engineers.
Swiss Can’s biggest customer segment are baby food producers, mainly milk powder manufacturers. More customers are from the field of the pharmaceutical, coffee, snacks and candy industry. The export share is more than 90 %. The machines are exported to the whole world.
